What Is a Hydrocele?

A hydrocele (Hullo-dro-seel) is a pouch of fluid around the testicle inside the scrotum. Hydroceles are common in newborns, especially in premature babies. Older boys and men tin get them likewise.

What Causes a Hydrocele?

  2. A non-communicating hydrocele is airtight at the meridian, so fluid stays trapped in the scrotum.

How Is a Hydrocele Diagnosed?

Normally a md diagnoses a hydrocele with a physical test. Sometimes the physician may society imaging studies such as an ultrasound to confirm the hydrocele or dominion out other conditions, such equally testicular torsion or an inguinal hernia.

How Is a Hydrocele Treated?
